In Person Sunday Mornings
September 27 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
We are excited to announce that Penticton First Baptist Church will be opening to in-person worship on September 27, at 10:15 am. We realize that many have not been able to watch Sunday services online. We would like to reach out to them as well as to you that have been able to view our services online. We do need to keep our numbers small in accordance with provincial guidelines. Currently that number is no more than 50 people in one designated area.
In order to attend on a Sunday mornings, EVERYONE will need to pre-register. Each Tuesday-Thursday the office will be open 9am-1pm to phone in and register. Or we will have an online registration open each week. Please only sign-up for the coming Sunday! We know many want to come every Sunday but space is limited and we ask that you consider not coming every Sunday. If we have more demand we will look at opening a second option for Sunday mornings.
We ask that each person to make sure they do not have any COVID-19 symptoms. If you do, self-isolate and phone 811. Once you have pre-registered online or by phone the office we will prepare a seat for you and your family. You will have an assigned seat!!! To help with social distancing we have removed all the pews and spaced chairs out 6 ft apart.
The church doors will be locked until 10:15 am, you can wait in your car or outside socially distanced. We also ask that everyone wear a mask and use hand sanitizer upon entering the building. Once you are in the building please find your seat. Please use the washroom before coming, if you need to use the washroom use the washroom near the gym. We ask that you keep your mask on at all times, even while singing. Once the service is over you will be ushered out from the back of the sanctuary forward to keep socially distant. An offering plate will be in the back to drop your offering in. On Communion Sunday’s we will have communion together with pre-package elements. After Church is over please make your way outside to chat with others, properly distanced.
We are looking for a few people that would like to come and help greet people before and after Church and monitor the hallways during the service. If you are interested in helping with this please phone the church office. We have a short document for you to read over before coming to help.
We will continue to offer our Sunday services on YouTube and have worked hard to have people in-person and streaming at the same time. We will continue to enhance our worship time together. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to phone the office and speak to Pastor Les or Clark or one of the Board members.
