We are excited to announce that Penticton First Baptist Church will be opening to in-person worship on June 6, at 10:30 am. We realize that many have not been able to watch Sunday services online. At this time we are limited to 50 people.
In order to attend on a Sunday mornings, EVERYONE will need to pre-register. Each Tuesday and Wednesday the office will be open 9am-1pm to phone in and register or register above.
We ask that each person to make sure they do not have any COVID-19 symptoms. If you do, self-isolate and phone 811. Once you have pre-registered online or by phone the we will prepare a seat for you and your family with a name tag. You will have an assigned seat!!! To help with social distancing we have spaced chairs out 2 meters apart.
The church doors will be locked until 10:15 am, you can wait in your car or outside socially distanced. Everyone is required to wear a mask unless you are under 12 and have a medical exemption. A health check and hand sanitizer will be given at the doors. Once you are in the building please find your seat. Please use the washroom before coming, if you need to use the washroom use the washroom near the gym. We ask that you keep your mask on at all times. At this time there is on congregational singing. Once the service is over you will be ushered out from the back of the sanctuary forward to keep socially distant. If you wish to give a offering box is located on the back wall. On Communion Sunday’s we will have communion together with pre-package elements. After Church is over please make your way outside to chat with others, properly distanced.
We are looking for a few people that would like to come and help greet people before and after Church and monitor the hallways during the service. If you are interested in helping with this please phone the church office. We have a short document for you to read over before coming to help.
We will continue to offer our Sunday services on YouTube and have worked hard to have people in-person and streaming at the same time. We will continue to enhance our worship time together. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to phone the office and speak to Pastor Les or Clark or one of the Board members.
